But in this instance you have to be realistic. Even my Gaiking Popy Jumbo is not close to what I would normally consider. Even Saito san has one in a c8 box, and his collection is beyond sick in terms of condition. The Daiku Jumbo is such a massive and fragile box, that the idea one exists in the condition I want is unlikely. The box is just as exciting to me as the toy in some respects. But again this is for a toy whose box is few and far between, and until I find the perfect example, I am happy with this as a stand in.įor me, the Box is part of the whole package. I HAVE recently had a box restored by Anthony Restorations ( who do amazing work, with their hand painting service), and am happy with the results. But A reproduction box is a hard pill to swallow for me. If the toy is rare enough and there is little hope of a c10 box existing, let alone a possability of me being able to afford one.I will certainly consider a lesser box. One example of this being my search for an Ultraman Leo zenmai. If I love the toy enough I will lesson my strict guidelines certainly. Repro boxes have been something that I have struggled with since my days of collecting vintage tin robots as they have been available much earlier with that subsect of robot collectors. This is an interesting topic for me Dave. Next, check out the comparison of the arms of the two toys. It's a much brighter looking toy than any of the other Voltron/Golion jumbos and I think the color scheme looks nice.

The head is yellow and red and although the colors are very inaccurate to the show, I have to admit that I like them. I'm not sure if there were ever more than those. For details, there are almost no stickers on the new one, just a little bit of residue on the arms. And the colors of the legs have been switched back to the proper sides. The new one on the left has a silver torso and forearms with black shoulders. The first thing you noticed of course is that they are different colors. However, the seller I bought it from speculated it may have been from a company called "Basa". The company who made both are still unknown as neither has any markings. As you can see, there are several differences between these toys, which are both from Peru, although not necessarily from the same maker.
